Job Details: Faculty Position, Department of medicine, Division of Nephrology, St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Steward Health Care, Boston MA. The Division of Nephrology at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, a member of the Steward Health Care System located in Boston, Massachusetts, and a teaching and tertiary care hospital, is seeking a full-time, employed faculty position in the Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology. St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center is a 308-bed teaching hospital that serves as the tertiary care facility for the nine-hospital Steward Health Care System in Eastern Massachusetts. It is academically affiliated with Boston University School of Medicine and Tufts University School of Medicine.

Applicant must be Board eligible/certified in Nephrology. The position features an academic faculty appointment at Boston University School of Medicine and/or Tufts University School of Medicine commensurate with background. Applicants should possess a license to practice medicine in Massachusetts by the time the appointment starts. Responsibilities will include patient care in the hospital-based setting, including the inpatient renal consultative and inpatient dialysis service (inpatient hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and continuous veno-venous hemodialysis), on-call coverage, teaching of medical students and residents, and pursuit of scholarly activities. Applicant must be collaborative, with strong clinical and communication skills and experience in teamwork, and with a strong commitment to medical education and teaching. Expertise in all aspects of Nephrology is desired. Candidates with additional Board eligibility/certification in Critical Care Medicine who have an interest in critical care services may inquire about additional opportunities, including patient care on the medical intensive care unit (ICU) service, and telemedicine in the ICU (tele-ICU).
