The changing seasons of New England serve as a stunning backdrop throughout the year.

Tanglewood, in Lenox, Mass., a short drive to the western part of the state, also provides top-notch musical entertainment, and is the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

The internationally acclaimed Boston Ballet, under the direction of Mikko Nissinen, calls the Boston Opera House home for its performance season from October through May. While its programming varies each year, “The Nutcracker” is an annual tradition that continually delights audiences of all ages and is a highlight of the holiday season.
